Brambles Day nursery - safe, fun, stimulating and positive environment

At Brambles Day nursery we are invested to ensure each individual child learns and grows in a safe, fun, stimulating and positive environment. We aim to assist with giving the best start in life and promising the nursery years will be filled with exploration, love, and laughter.

Our Nursery Ethos

Our children are seen as individuals

We support every child, encouraging their individual interests and expanding their individual development and skills through play and exploration.  Our children are seen as individuals, therefore the support and development they receive is individual too. Our children are unique, and we care for them and will provide for them equally.

We are proud that we can offer a home away from home, a calm, secure and stimulating environment where the doors are always open for our families! If we can’t help you with what is needed, we will find someone that can.

At Brambles Day Nursery, it is not just our little ones that learn and grow together, we all do.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum intentions ensure the Eyfs is implemented and is meaningful to our children. We strive to ensure children make good progression whilst in our care, this is assessed through regular observations and in the moment reflections.

We have created a curriculum that is child centred, with their interest at the heart of what we do. Additionally, our skilled staff can identify when additional support is needed and create positive modifications or referrals to assist the child further.

Our practitioners support development by modelling whilst being engaged in play and creating focus points to enhance learning further. Additionally, we place an extended focus on language, physical skills, wellbeing, and personal, social and emotional skills.

Meet the Team
Lindsey - Nursery Manager

Lindsey

Nursery Manager, Designated Safeguarding Lead, First Aider, Health and Safety Lead

I have worked in Early years for 21 years in a range of roles within nurseries, creche, schools and higher education too.

My passion has always been to provide care and education in early years and facilitate amazing memories whilst constructing the core foundation in development for children 0-5 years. After having a family of my own, my passion elevated as I wanted to ensure that not only my children, but every child had a wonderful experience and the best start in their early education period.

I qualified in 2006 as a nursery nurse, and then gained a degree in advanced practice for children, additionally most recently I have completed a master’s qualification in early education too. I have a keen interest in development both for the children and our team. Therefore, I intend to share my experience, knowledge, and skills to develop our team further.

I look forward to meeting you all and introducing you to our amazing team and provision.

I have worked in childcare for nearly 10 years and have looked after children of all ages including after school club up to 11 years old.

I am currently completing my Early Years Initial Teacher Training which will enable me to support the staff in providing the highest possible care and education for your little ones.

After having my little girl in 2021, my spark for early years was reignited. I had a short break in my career where I supported apprentices through their level 2, 3 and 5 qualifications however, I felt that I needed to be back being hands on with the children where I am able to make a bigger impact in not only their lives, but the whole family.
